Marco Visconti

Marco Visconti

(PT, BScHons.Kin, MScPT, CIDN)

Marco Visconti received his Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Kinesiology from York University and his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Marco has also completed postgraduate courses in manual therapy, acupuncture, intramuscular stimulation, integrated dry needling, neuromobilization, and McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy.

Marco is an integrated dry needling practitioner (CIDN), a certified complete concussion management practitioner (CCMI), a certified running expert health care professional, and is currently working towards a Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy.


Marco treats a diverse group of patients of all ages and various fitness levels. He treats patients with motor-vehicle accident induced injuries, repetitive strain injuries, spinal injuries, sports injuries, and post-surgery injuries.


Marco’s Kinesiology training gives him a very strong personal training and fitness background, which helps him rehabilitate his patients using functional return-to-sport exercises.

Marco has extensive experience performing functional assessments to determine a patient’s ability to return to their daily routines at work and at home. Marco is currently SFMA Level 1 certified.

Marco believes that combining progressive injury specific exercises with manual therapy and dry needling is the best combination to help his clients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Matthew Wright

Matthew Wright

(PT, BScHons.Kin, MScPT, Dip. Manip. PT, FCAMPT, CIDN)

Matthew Wright graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science Kinesiology Honours degree and received a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario.


Matthew has successfully achieved his Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy and is a Fellow in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists (FCAMPT). Matthew is also well on his way to credentialing in the Mckenzie Method of Diagnoses and Treatment.


Matthew has advanced training in acupuncture. Matthew is also an integrated dry needling practitioner. In addition to his Physiotherapy credentials, Matt is a certified Olympic Lifting club coach through the USAW.


Matt utilizes a combination of education, specific strength training, core conditioning, joint mobilizations, joint manipulations, exercise therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, and neural mobilization techniques in treating an assortment of spinal dysfunction and upper and lower extremity injuries.


Matt works closely with his patients to develop effective treatment plans that are specific to their goals using biomechanical analysis and extensive sporting background. His philosophy is not to remove you from the sport that you love, but to modify activity and exercise to get you back faster and better than before.


He has a keen interest in baseball, hockey, and volleyball, as well as their respective injuries, having spent the majority of his life playing competitively in these sports.


Marlene Luis

Marlene Luis

Marlene Luis graduated from the University of Toronto and earned a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education with high honours, a Master of Exercise Science specializing in Motor Control/Motor Learning, and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Marlene’s postgraduate education has included training in advanced orthopaedic manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue release, and temporomandibular joint disorders. She is currently working towards a Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.


In addition, since the birth of her daughter, Marlene has taken a special focus in Pelvic Health rehabilitation. Courses completed include incontinence, pelvic pain, and pre-/post-natal care. Her comprehensive training in orthopaedic and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy has given Marlene a well-rounded and unique approach in treating her clients.


Marlene’s approach to clinical practice is influenced by 10+ years of coaching experience in gymnastics, including previously owning a successful competitive club. Her certifications in this sport are NCCP Level 2 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Level 1 Trampoline, and Level 3 Theory.


Furthermore, prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, Marlene gained extensive experience in the field of motor behaviour, publishing research, and presenting at national/international conferences. Her thesis work, in particular, highlighted her knowledge of gymnastics by focusing on visual-vestibular interactions during a back salto and the ability to use sensory feedback to control landing stability.


Overall, Marlene treats a variety of orthopaedic conditions, sports-related injuries, and pelvic health dysfunctions. Her treatment approach combines education, manual therapy, acupuncture, and progressive exercise prescription to meet her client’s specific rehabilitation needs.


Dominique Tersigni

Dominique Tersigni

(PT, BA Hons Kin, MScPT)

Dominique Tersigni graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, and prior to this, obtained a Bachelors in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario.

During her time at Western University, Dominique's passion for sports led her to volunteer as a strength and conditioning coach for varsity athletes. She further honed her skills by working on-field as an athletic trainer for a Triple A hockey team, gaining valuable experience in managing acute sport-related injuries.

Dominique's commitment to continuous growth in her profession is evident in her completion of acupuncture training from McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture, where she became proficient in neurofunctional acupuncture and dry needling. She is also currently pursuing Level 3 through the AIM (Advanced Integration of Musculoskeletal) program.


Dominique is well versed in treating acute sport-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, TMJ disorders and chronic pain. She uses a combination of education, strength training, joint mobilizations, taping, and soft tissue techniques to treat a variety of orthopaedic conditions.


Dominique is passionate about using a client-centered approach to develop personalized treatment plans, empowering her clients to actively participate in their rehabilitation journeys. Committed to lifelong learning, she strives to stay at the forefront of the art and science of physiotherapy, embodying a mission to provide personalized and effective care to those seeking her expertise.

Bentzen Takyi

Bentzen Takyi 

(PT, BAHons.Kin, MScPT, CSCS, CIDN)

Bentzen Takyi graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts specializing in Kinesiology and went on to receive a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University. He has completed courses in soft tissue release, pre-rehabilitation and currently is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He plans to work towards his levels in manual therapy through the Orthopaedic Division.



He has a comprehensive understanding of managing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as neck and low back pain and peripheral joint injuries (shoulder, knee, ankle, to name a few). He is also knowledgeable in preoperative and postoperative treatment and management. Bentzen is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and physical activity. He uses a combination of primarily active- based therapy, education, and manual therapy to help patients get back to doing what they enjoy, but more importantly, build the resilience to avoid future injury.


Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Bentzen worked as a fitness consultant for the City of Vaughan and worked with training elite basketball athletes. Having a strong interest in basketball, he has worked with several teams, camps, and showcases as a therapist on-site. He also plays in an ultimate frisbee league and has one full marathon completed under his belt.


He is currently a member of Sport Physiotherapy Canada, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), Ontario Physiotherapy Association and the Orthopaedic Division.

Melissa Arlantico

Melissa Arlantico

(PT, BScHonsKin, MScPT)

Melissa Arlantico, aka Mel, graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and later obtained her Master of Science (Physiotherapy) at McMaster University. 


She grew up dancing in the City of Vaughan as a competitive dancer and completed all her Royal Academy of Ballet examinations. During her time as a student and dancer, she always enjoyed exploring how human anatomy could create such a beautiful and delicate art, yet be so robust to adapt to various activities, or recover from injury or dysfunction. Driven by these interests she plans to take a variety of post-graduate courses to broaden her skillset such as the Orthopedic Division’s advanced manual therapy, acupuncture, taping, and strength and conditioning courses.


Mel’s practice is centered around freedom and collaboration. She believes that every individual should be empowered with the knowledge and skills to engage in activities of their choosing and make informed health decisions. She is committed to working with her clients, which means open communication, opportunity to ask questions, and space to share ideas. Her treatment approach encompasses education, exercise and manual therapy techniques tailored to addressing client-specific concerns and goals. 


Mel likes to stay active by exploring new hiking trails and challenging herself by participating in a variety of workout classes (i.e. CrossFit, weight training, F45 and spin). During her free time she participates in ultimate frisbee, loves a good board game night, learning how to cook new recipes, and enjoys binge-watching TV shows.

Marco Bandiera

Marco Bandiera completed his Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. Prior to his Physiotherapy degree he completed his Kinesiology undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto receiving High Honours status. During his time at UofT, Marco was a member of the Varsity Baseball team and a student trainer for the Men’s Varsity Hockey team.


Marco is knowledgeable in treating athletes, acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, preoperative and postoperative surgical patients, as well as concussion management. He is currently certified in Acupuncture and Dry Needling, CCMI Concussion Management, as well as Level 2 certified in manual therapy through the Orthopedic Division with plans to progress through the FCAMPT level systems. 


Marco keeps himself active by participating in baseball, hockey, running and CrossFit workouts. He believes in empowering everyone by providing education and guidance throughout their rehab process. He ensures that he works alongside each individual to develop a treatment plan that matches their goals. Marco has a strong belief that through education, manual therapy, and well-developed exercise prescription that every individual can reach a state of physical and mental wellness that creates lifelong confidence and empowerment.

Marquise Swaby

Marquise Swaby completed his Master of Physical Therapy from Western University, prior to this, obtained a Bachelors in Exercise Science from Kennesaw State University.



He has a comprehensive understanding in treating athletes from the competitive to professional level, acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, preoperative and postoperative surgery, concussions, and more. He is currently certified in acupuncture & dry needling, CCMI Concussion Management, and level 2 upper certified in manual therapy through the Orthopedic Division with plans to progress through the FCAMPT level symptoms.


Having a passion for community involvement, he has worked with Team Canada Women's Basketball, NBA player led charity camps, led and assisted with programs and discussions through Big Brothers Big Sisters, Western University MPT program and schools in GTA. During his spare time, Marquise enjoys eating a variety of cuisines and staying active through running, weightlifting, basketball and more.


Marquise provides personalized treatment programs with an emphasis on therapeutic exercise, function, and gradual progression through physical and mental wellness. He has found fulfillment in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, along with providing empowerment to individuals. Currently, he is a part of various community and curricular initiatives that provide a voice and resources for marginalized individuals.

Nicholas Markakos - PT Resident, BHonsKin, MScPT

Nicholas Markakos

(PT Resident, BHonsKin, MScPT)

Nicholas (Nick) Markakos completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, where he also completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology.


During his 6 years at the University of Toronto, Nicholas developed a strong proficiency in human anatomy, exercise physiology and biomechanics. He worked as a Research Assistant, contributing to groundbreaking projects regarding pressure injury management and modalities for combating ICU-acquired weakness. He also worked as a personal trainer, using advanced sport specific exercise prescription to help his clients become stronger and faster. He continues to employ these features of exercise prescription with clients of all ages and activity levels.


Nicholas' treatment approach includes hands-on manual therapy, corrective postural exercises and patient education. These are essential components of his holistic treatment approach to help his patients achieve their personal goals of returning to sport, work or activity. He is working towards post-graduate courses in manual therapy and acupuncture to continue to help his clients in innovative ways.


In his spare time, Nicholas enjoys staying active by weightlifting and swimming, watching football and basketball, bartending, or playing a competitive game of cards. A fun fact is that he will never turn down a game of euchre if he is lucky enough to find three other people who know how to play.
